I've had the opportunity to see a lot of good concerts in the
past years. The most memorable were Fleetwood Mac in 1978 for the Rumors tour,
Van Halen for their first show ever in Dallas, when they opened for Black
Sabbath. The crowd booed Black Sabbath, wanting Van Halen to return to stage.

What is the difference between Texans and Yogurt?
Yogurt has culture!<: (I'm a native Texan, I can tell that
joke)
Stevie Ray Vaughn's' last concert in Dallas, shortly before his
death in Wisconsin, with Jeff Beck and his memorial statue in Austin Texas, my
concert ticket for that show and his gravesite.
The concert above was with Stevie and Jeff Beck. It was
the first time I ever saw Stevie live, and I was amazed. Nothing I had
ever seen on TV or in video could convey his power on the guitar. Below,
when they say blistering, they are not exaggerating. The show I saw left
me mesmerized at his talent and skill.
Stevie died on August 27, 1990 near East Troy, Wisconsin after a
concert with fellow bluesmen Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, and his
brother Jimmie. After what was described as a "blistering" set, Stevie jumped
into a helicopter to get back to his Chicago hotel. The pilot had apparently
been unfamiliar with the hilly terrain, and around 12:40 a.m., in a dense fog,
the helicopter crashed into the hill with all passengers killed instantly. Sad
day.

Pearl Jam Dallas 14th Row

Pearl Jam song by clicking:
A short improv was brought into play
at the 8/17/98 Deer Creek show when Ed sang the lyrics, "The President spoke in
court today" to the tune of "Jeremy spoke in class today". (President Clinton testified to a Grand
Jury earlier that day during the Paula Jones case regarding the Monica Lewinsky
scandal. At the same moment these words were being sung, President Clinton
was appearing on National Television to apologize for the first time about
deceiving the American People. It was the first of four public apologies
to the American People in a 26 day period which followed that evening.)

Bill Clinton's
comments regarding President Richard Nixon and the infamous Watergate scandal...
"Yes, the President
should resign. He has lied to the American people, time and time again, and
betrayed their trust. He is no longer an effective leader. Since he has admitted
guilt, there is no reason to put the American people through an impeachment. He
will serve absolutely no purpose in finishing out his term; the only possible
solution is for the President to save some dignity and resign."
William Jefferson Clinton, 1974
