To follow are high resolution satellite images of the World Trade Center, screen shots from the Microsoft Flight Simulator program (supposedly used by the terrorists), an album cover for a music album whose cover eerily resembles the actual attack, and the photograph (2 views) showing what appeared to be the face of the devil in the smoke. Please read on.

Among other things, on this page you will find an assortment of interesting and not commonly seen images relating to the horrific attack against our country, commonly known as 911, including high resolution satellite images of the World Trade Center towers prior to, the next day, and monthly thereafter documenting the clean up. I was at work that day. On the way to work I heard a news flash on the radio that a small commuter plane had hit the World Trade Center. Just before pulling into the parking lot at work, a second new flash stated a second plane had hit. At that moment I knew it was not an accident. Hour by hour while working, various employees came into my office telling me more horrific news as each event unfolded. I could take no more by noon. I spoke with a girl friend by phone who stated one of the towers had collapsed. I told her that was not possible, and immediately called my Dad telling him what this friend had told me. He told me it was true, that one of the towers had indeed collapsed. This was not even conceivable to me. That was it. I excused myself and left work. While driving home to Dallas on the freeway, I came over a hill and there was a Dallas Police Officer radaring traffic for speeders. That was so surreal, that our country was being attacked and here was a police officer trying to catch speeders. I guess that is how they caught Timothy McVeigh though, an officer spotted him driving without a valid license plate.
To follow are high-resolution satellite Images of the World Trade Center prior to 9-11-2001, some with special zoom features, and in the months that followed. In February 2003 I found some higher resolution satellite images. They are accessible via the button toward the bottom of this page. These and the new ones are dated to demonstrate the progress that occurred as the rescue and clean up proceeded. At the bottom of this page are links to some exceptional memorial sites honoring the men, women, children and rescuers who lost their lives or loved ones that fateful day.

Coincidentally, a rap band whose new album cover was going to press on September 10, 2001, featured a mock, imaginary explosion at the World Trade Center. The presses were stopped and a new cover selected after the attack.

Here is an actual photograph of plane number 2 hitting the second tower. The similarity is disturbing.

The Devil Appears

Another unusual scene was this still photo said to be the devil, which was also caught by a CNN camera crew from a different angle on video, several miles away from this photographer (after this photo). (The authenticity of these photos was verified.) In the video, the "face" appears for about 3/4 of a second.
